Temple history
The Toronto Sri Maha Ganapathy Temple was founded in 2000 to serve the needs of Hindu devotees living in and around the downtown Toronto area. The Temple was originally located on nearby Parliament street until 2013. In 2014, it was moved to its current location on Gerrard Street. The Temple hosts many poojas throughout the year including all auspicious occasions such as Chaturthi, Pradosha Vratham and Pournima as well as yearly events such as Ganesh Chaturthi and Maha Shivarathri.
